Top Hip Hop Albums of the Decade…Period (pt2)

And tha beat goes on….

2004. College Dropout–Kanye West

Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter was hands down the best album of 20-hold on Weezy….I know you did ur thing wid Tha Carter and all that and I’m real happy for you but Kanye West had one of the best debut albums of all time! Naw for real tho, College Dropout is probably one of the best debut albums in hiphop. The former Roc-a-Fella producer got on the other side of the studio n gave us a break from all the gangsta, crunk, and crazy whiteboy rap that was comin out in 04. Think I shoulda picked Lil Wayne? *kanyeshrug*

Honorable Mentions:

T.I……Urban Legend

Nas….Street Disciple

Jadakiss….Kiss of Death

Lil Wayne….Tha Carter

2003. The Black Album–Jay-Z

This is against my better judgement…but I cannot deny The Black Album was an incredible project for Jay Z. Kanye def did his thing with the production on this album, the tour was CRAZY, and Jay Z came as close to his Reasonable Doubt days as he has ever done to date. Even tho it was supposed to be his retirement album….we allowed him to reintroduce himself to us jus a few years later.

Honorable Mention:

Speakerboxx/The Love Below….Outkast

Get Rich or Die Tryin…….50 Cent

Rip the Jacker….Cannibus
